Row 2: P2, K2, P4, K1.

Row 3: P1. Slip 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold in back, K2, K2 from cable needle. P2, K2.

Row 4: P2, K2, P4, K1

Row 5: Cross back as in row 1, then cross front and repeat cross back.

Row 6: K1, P4, K2, P2.

Row 7: K2, P2. Slip 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold in front, K2, K2 from cable needle.

Row 8: K1, P4, K2, P2.

Repeat these rows for pattern.

To increase the width of the panel, add stitches in Reverse Stockinette Stitch to each side. For instance you can increase the panel's width to 13 stitches by adding two stitches to each side, purling on the odd numbered rows and knitting on the even rows.

Reverse stocking stitch

Works on any number of stitches.

Row one: Purl

Row two: Knit

Repeat these two rows for pattern.

Jackie's first project...

Tuesday evening:
Jackie finished her first scarf and started already a second one.

NEEDLE POUCH COMPLETED

I finished the pouch today by sewing the zipper in. It's just perfect for all sorts of shorter needles.

DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLE HOLDER POUCH

This is an (almost) finished Fair Isle double pointed needle pouch. I lined the pouch with pink cotton and used yellow linen for the back. The front of the pouch is made of 100% wool, the same wool you are using for the project. I’ve washed the swatch so that the stitches can settle and the wool shrink to assure that it will not unravel. Since I don't have a zipper handy it will be added at later.
